Waraseoni Fabrics: Woven in the town where the saree was born.
For more than 250 years, the looms of Waraseoni in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, have woven a saree unlike any other. Known as the Waraseoni or Wainganga saree, it is light and soft, with fine borders, stripes and checks, and carries a Geographical Indication (GI) tag that protects its origin and its craft.
The Waraseoni Handloom Saree holds the Geographical Indication (GI) tag with Application Number 709 and Certificate Number 459 (Class 24, Handicrafts).
From this heritage, Waraseoni Fabrics brings you handloom sarees in cotton, Tussar silk, Mulberry silk and silk-cotton blends, from Nakshi borders to hand block prints and Kantha embroidery. Each piece is made by skilled hands on traditional looms, with the same care that generations of Waraseoni weavers have given to every thread.
When you wear Waraseoni, you wear a living tradition.
